Unliked but Still Loved
I’ll be honest — there have been moments where I’ve walked into a room and instantly wondered, “Do they even like me?”
Sometimes it’s the way the conversation stops when you walk up.
Sometimes it’s the look, the silence, or the fact that you weren’t invited at all.
It hits different when you’ve poured yourself out for people, shown up for them, prayed for them — and still, you feel unseen or unwanted.
Here’s the truth I had to sit with: not everyone will like you. And that’s okay.
Even Jesus wasn’t liked by everyone. He was misunderstood. Rejected. Talked about. And yet — He stayed on assignment. He didn’t waste time convincing people of His worth. He knew who sent Him and who approved Him.
And so do you.
Their silence doesn’t shrink your value.
Their rejection doesn’t cancel your calling.
Their dislike doesn’t erase God’s love.
The next time that knot forms in your stomach — remember this:
“If God is for us, who can be against us?” – Romans 8:31
You are not defined by who doesn’t like you. You are defined by the One who created you, chose you, and calls you His own.
Bold Reflection
This week, instead of replaying the reel of “who doesn’t like me,” flip the script.
Say it out loud:
“I don’t need their approval. God already approved me.”
And walk in that truth like the bold, loved woman you are.
