I Fell Off

I Fell Off

Today is Monday, December 29, 2025.

And yes—I normally post on Thursdays.
But I’m posting today on purpose.

Here’s the truth: my last blog post was November 13th.
That’s a gap.

And I could dress it up. I could make excuses. I could pretend it doesn’t matter.

But I’m not doing that.

I’m choosing something better: I’m rising today, not later this week, next month, nor next year.

Proverbs 24:16 didn’t say the righteous never fall.
It said they rise again.

So if you’ve been off track—spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically—listen close:

Falling off doesn’t make you lazy.
It makes you human.

Staying down is what steals your strength.

And I’m not staying down.

Let’s face it, we all fall off.

Most of us don’t fall off because we don’t love God.

We fall off because life gets loud:

Work demands more.
Family needs more.
Your body needs more.
Your mind is carrying too much.
And you keep telling yourself you’ll “get back to it” when things calm down.

But things don’t “calm down.”
You just get used to carrying the weight.

And if we’re honest, sometimes we fall off because getting back close to God means you might have to face what He’s been trying to heal:

the resentment you keep swallowing
the boundary you keep avoiding
the fear you keep feeding
the obedience you keep postponing

But God doesn’t meet you with shame.
He meets you with strength.

This is your permission to restart on a random Monday.

This is not a “January 1st” message.

This is a right now message.

Because your breakthrough doesn’t need a new year.
It needs a new decision.

So here’s the reset—simple and doable:

  1. Take one sip of water.
Let it be your reminder: I need the Word like I need water—daily.

  2. Read one verse.
Not a whole plan. Not an hour. One verse.

  3. Pray one honest prayer.
Not a polished one. A real one.

  4. Do one act of obedience.
Send the text. Make the apology. Cancel what drains you. Open the Bible app. Write the prayer. Go to bed on time. Start again.

That’s it.

Small obedience builds strong consistency.

You’re not behind.
You’re on the scenic route.

And the scenic route still gets you there.

So we’re not going to drag November into January with guilt.
We’re going to close the gap with grace and move forward with intention.

Say it out loud:
“Though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again…” — Proverbs 24:16

Today, we rise.

This is your Monday reset.

I’ll be back on Thursday like normal.
But I needed you to see this: you don’t have to wait for the “right” day to return to God—or to yourself.
