Who Do You Think You Are?
“Who do you think you are?”
Maybe you’ve heard it whispered behind your back. Maybe you’ve heard it said to your face. Or maybe the loudest version is the one you say to yourself.
Who do you think you are to lead that meeting?
Who do you think you are to start that business?
Who do you think you are to stand up and speak, when you know your own flaws?
Imposter syndrome has a way of asking that question on repeat. And if we’re not careful, we start answering it with our fears instead of God’s truth.
Here’s the thing: the question isn’t wrong. But the answer changes everything.
John 1:12 says:
“Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”
So who do you think you are?
You are chosen.
You are called.
You are His.
Not because of titles, degrees, or accomplishments—but because of Christ.
The next time that question comes up, whether from someone else or in your own head, try flipping it.
Who do you think you are to doubt the God who called you?
Who do you think you are to shrink back when He told you to be bold?
Who do you think you are to play small when He already said you’re more than a conqueror?
Romans 8:37 says:
“In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
